NATO suppliers bet on MONTI
Bonn, Nov 10th, 2010: Within the framework of the NATO Codification System (NCS), the logistics bureau of the German Armed Forces in Sankt Augustin has included products of the Bonn, Germany, tool maker MONTI. All of the products on the list, including any necessary accessories, can now be ordered by any of the NATO armed forces member countries. Precipitating this move was the first-time implementation of the Monti's MBX® Bristle Blaster® by the Spanish Navy.
"Now all NATO signatories can profit from our technological leap when working on their ship steel," says MONTI general manager Volker Jannaschk. Each year, the logistics bureau selects around 36.000 new supply articles for inclusion in the catalog from a total of around 2.2 million applications. The NATO Codification System (NCS) provides the 52 member countries with an efficient supply item classification system for maintaining and expanding the supply chains of its armed forces. Each country is responsible for cataloging the material produced within its borders. Each and every NATO item of supply is given a 13-digit NATO stock number (NSN).
MONTI produces tools for surface treatment in Germany and sells them in 80 countries across the globe. Experts from all over the world turn to the technology of the Bonn, Germany-based firm, implementing it daily in thousands of workshops and construction sites. At the heart of the MONTI product range is the MBX® system that has been continuously refined over the last 20 years and that is now implemented in the automotive and marine industries, the mechanical engineering sector, as well as within the oil, gas and petrochemical industries.
